M-I-A

Wow, I have been MIA for awhile on this blog. It has been weeks now since the Husband changed his shift (night) but I'm still struggling with our new schedule. I always feel tired and out of energy. I still have so many things on my to-do list.

I'm disappointed with myself for not doing anything at all this Halloween. I was so uninspired and lazy to do anything festive. I forgot to by pumpkins too. Oh well, there's always last year. We did not have any plans this year so we just stayed home and slept. We planned on watching some scary movies together but I end up watching them on my own as the Husband has been catching up on some Zzzzs.

This coming holidays, Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year, I will definitely do something creative and festive. Christmas is my favorite holiday of all so I have so many decorating ideas in mind and hopefully they don't stay as ideas only. For now, gotta finish some laundry before I can move on to those happy things!

Sweet Treats for Halloween

Wow, I can't believe its already October. Yeah, I kinda lost track of the days. I guess that's what happens when you keep weird hours. Kids and adult alike are excited for Halloween. My Halloween experience for so many years has been totally different. We wake up early, go to the cemetery and visit the graves of the dead loved ones. Then, we go home and watch scary movies or documentaries. Here in the US, most people are busy looking up for costumes to wear and buying some candies for trick or treat-ers.

All in the name of fun, parents dress up the kids on their favorite halloween costumes while the kids enjoy going to houses to get their sweet treats. This might involve a lot of walking especially if your neighborhood have large plots of land. Bringing an easy to carry tetra pack of chocolate milk is better than immediately munching on those sweet goodies. It quenches the little goblins thirst while not feeling deprived from having chocolates because its still chocolate after all. Since this has milk as well, it is a good source of calcium and vitamin D. No wonder athletes also drink chocolate milk after a long strenous practice. If you want to learn more tips in having a healthy but still enjoyable Halloween experience for your kids, just check out the Trick or Treat Me blog. Also, try out Twick or Tweet Me where in every 10¢ will be donated to the World Wildlife Fund for every trick or treat you tweet out.

I got a dozen of these lovely pink roses from the husband last week. It actually came with my favorite chocolate which has already been consumed. Hehe. Thanks again, hunny! They are wilting now and the color has turned into dark purple but its always a pleasure getting these from the husband.

Bum Bum Pow!

Ok, you don't have to read this post. This is my 12-year old alter ego talking..err typing. Here it goes....

I saw on the local (Philippine) news about Kim Bum going to the country to shoot a TV commercial. There were a group of fans, mostly young girls waiting at the airport with their banners and stuff and looking all so kilig. Yeah, we all go through that phase. Anyway, going back to Kim Bum, he looks tall and oh so slim which makes him look so much younger. I hope he and So-Eun do another series together but this time as leads. While everyone gets all hyped with Rob-Stew tandem, I'm going gaga over the Soeul couple (Kim Bum and Kim So-Eun). Just look at the pic below, definitely cuteness overload.
